Anet Margot Ris
Founder/Director of The Tiny Theater PDX
Anet has been a performer, choreographer, and teacher for over 40 years, with influences ranging from multiple forms of dance, experimental theater, somatics and the shamanic work of the Sweet Medicine Sundance path. She was a member of the Rudy Perez Performance Ensemble in Los Angeles and Daniel Nagrin’s dance improvisation group, The Workgroup, in New York City. More recently, she has performed her solos, and improvisations with dancers and musicians, in Portland, OR. and Los Angeles, CA. Her video poems won second prize at the New York Expo for Short Film and Video and have been shown domestically and internationally. Anet is a City of Los Angeles and Long Beach Museum of Art grant recipient, and she holds a BFA from New York University and an MFA from the University of Wisconsin.
